Overview
The IT Glue Mobile App was developed for IT Glue, a leading provider of IT documentation software for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) worldwide. The project aimed to provide MSP technicians with convenient access to essential IT Glue features while on the move. The brief focused on enhancing accessibility and password management functionalities, ensuring a seamless experience that mirrored the desktop application.
Objectives
Enable Mobile Access: Allow MSP technicians to securely access IT Glue Passwords, Configurations, and Flexible Assets on their mobile devices.
Integrate Barcode Scanning: Introduce features for hardware identification and documentation directly through mobile devices.
Enhance Security: Implement robust security measures, including end-to-end encryption and biometric authentication.
Approach
The project was approached through close collaboration among cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Product Owners, and Development Engineers. The design process utilized tools like Sketch for creating intuitive user interfaces and InVision for prototyping. An iterative approach was adopted, incorporating feedback from user testing sessions conducted with the Partner Advisory Council (PAC). This ensured the app's design aligned with user needs and provided a consistent experience across both mobile and desktop platforms.

The launch of the IT Glue Mobile App in August 2017 marked a significant milestone, achieving impressive adoption rates and user engagement.
Successful Launch: The app received 2,500 downloads on its first day, with mobile user numbers doubling by the second day and continued growth thereafter.
